On June 27, 2025, the secondary school SOU Josif Josifovski in Gevgelija hosted the official Multiplier Event of the Erasmus+ project CLOSE – Inclusive Educational Environments and Socio-Emotional Learning Through Film.
The event brought together students, teachers, cultural professionals, and parents to celebrate the power of film as a learning tool. It marked the culmination of two years of collaboration between 6 partner organizations from Italy, France, Cyprus, and North Macedonia.
During the event, participants:
- Discovered the project’s two key educational resources – the Kinokit and the e-Book, now available in both English and Macedonian;
- Watched three student-created short films, developed through Cinemalab workshops;
- Engaged in a panel discussion with film professionals and educators on the role of cinema in education, inclusion, and emotional development.
This Multiplier Event highlighted how film can transform the classroom into a space for empathy, expression, and critical thinking – by placing students at the center as viewers, analysts, and creators.
🌍 International Perspective
All short films produced within the CLOSE project across the four countries will be showcased at the International Film and Women Festival (IFF) in Florence, Italy, in October 2025, offering young creators a true European stage.
